Last month we announced our new Sitecore Platinum Implementation Partner status.  We’re building a leadership position within the Sitecore ecosystem and, as an inaugural member of the Sitecore EMEA Partner Advisory Council, we’re well placed to represent the voices of our clients at Sitecore.

So last week’s launch of a brand new platform on Sitecore 8.1 for our client, Novozymes, served as a timely reinforcement of how true partnership can produce bespoke solutions to the kind of digital challenges that enterprises are facing today.

Headquartered just outside of Copenhagen, Novozymes is the world leader in bioinnovation, manufacturing almost half of the world’s enzymes.  While you very probably won’t be buying anything directly from Novozymes yourself, their customers include other giants like Unilever - another client of ours - you are probably washing your clothes, or eating food products that Novozymes helped to grow or manufacture.

When we started gathering requirements in January, the Novozymes corporate website was based on a Sharepoint platform that was beginning to show its age and limitations.  It became obvious that the platform wasn’t going to allow them to deliver on their digital strategy, making frequent content updates difficult and preventing learning via a modern, iterative process. They needed a partner to help them re-platform quickly and with minimum pain.

Using our own class-leading accelerator, Zen Garden, with Sitecore 8.1, we were able to create the mobile-responsive and easy-to-use solution that Novozymes content owners were crying out for.  We refreshed the homepage layout, building in mobile responsiveness and replaced a legacy email cloud platform with Sitecore's Email Experience Manager.  We also integrated with the 3rd party social media aggregator Sparkle, enabling Novozymes to share their social conversations on their homepage, creating a very seamless user experience.

The result is a platform solution that is delivered in four languages, and includes the migration of over 3,000 pages.  And, thanks to Zen Garden, all of this has been achieved in just three months. Having wished for a Wordpress-style solution, the Novozymes communications team now has full production control within a managed and well governed infrastructure and engaging content is reaching their all-important B2B audiences at the right time and on their chosen device.

The new Sitecore Experience Platform solution, coupled with Cognifide’s accelerated approach to site production has set Novozymes on a path enabling greater digital effectiveness. Here’s to their ongoing success and our continued engagement to mutually drive their 2020 vision and objectives.
