history

Cognifide was founded in March 2005 by Stuart Dean and Miro Walker in London, UK.

Miro and Stu started with a belief that while companies across the UK and Western Europe are understandably excited about the potential that can be achieved with off-shore development, it's vital to ensure that the engagement is handled correctly in order for those benefits to materialise.

Together they recruited and built a team to address the shortcomings of traditional off-shoring with a balance of high-quality delivery that met real business needs.

Cognifide's first Polish office opened in Sołacz, Poznań in June 2005. Just eight months later, the Cognifide team had outgrown this space and relocated to more salubrious offices in central Poznań.  In 2007, Dr. Cleve Gibbon joined the team as Chief Technical Officer which coincided with a new office for the team in London.

Through strategic product partnerships with Day, Hybris and EPiServer, as well as professional partnerships with some of London's top design agencies, Cognifide's client base has continued to expand, with Cognifide's expertise recognised by peers, media and customers alike.
